I’m Back From Cancer..!

I never thought this would happen to me, but it did. Who ever does anyway? After months of ignoring symptoms, I finally went in for a colonoscopy only to be diagnosed with colon cancer. That was followed by surgery, an ileostomy, and a reversal surgery. Thankfully, I had no need to consider the infamous tag-team of radiation, and chemotherapy. First it was Diabetes, now it was cancer.

Anyway, I’m back to doing what I love to do, sharing, and encouraging others to take responsibility for their health. In fact, my doctor believes taking care of my health was at least partially responsible for the cancer not metastasizing. Of course, I didn’t start doing that until I had my wake-up call a few years prior. This was when I was diagnosed with diabetes.

Just as I’ve learned a lot after being diagnosed with diabetes, similarly, I’ve learned a great deal after being diagnosed with cancer. Maybe I’ll share this some other time in another blog. One of the things I learned, is the fact that my years of working nights without adequate rest, not only was largely responsible for my diabetes, but also cancer. Sure, there are other factors involved, but sleep deprivation results in compromising the immune system–among other things. A compromised immune system is a precursor to many forms of illnesses, as the body is unable to adequately put up an effective defense.

My #1 Google Ranking

I recently decided to check my site, and was pleasantly surprised to find that my site was briefly ranked #1, especially considering I haven’t contributed any content for more than a year. Thank you Google!! In spite of the fact that I don’t make a dime from this site, I must admit that page 1 ranking, however brief, was an added motivation to come back.

I’m Grateful For Your Support

Thank you all for your support and many positive comments. My apologies for not responding to those that have been made since my cancer diagnosis. I will be making every effort respond ASAP.

The Best shape I’ve been In Many Years.

After all is said and done, I can now say I feel great, my blood sugar is under control, with out medication I might add. That to me, is the most beautiful part. Anyway, my energy level is back to where it used to be, when I was a much younger man. Everyone says I look great, and I feel like I have a new lease on life. Life is gift, cherish it. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. Learn from mine. That way you may never need to say, I’m back from cancer!”

Wishing you healthy living,

Patrick
